A celebration of Earth Day and National Let’s Get Outside Day is scheduled at the Paul Smith Children’s Village in Cheyenne’s Lion’s Park, April 20 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The event, hosted jointly by the Wyoming Division of State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails and the Paul Smith Children’s Village features a variety of activities including the making of trash robots, plant necklaces, a story time and more.
Additionally, a Story Walk, featuring the Giving Tree will also take place.
Parents are also encouraged to recycle old garden hoses by bringing them to the event for use at the Children’s Village.
Other partners of the event are Pizza Hut, Laramie County Conservation District, Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities, High Plains Audubon, Laramie County 4-H and the Cheyenne Parks and Recreation Department.
