A celebration of Wyoming Day and the Cowboy State’s admittance to the union as the 44th state will be held at the Wyoming Historic Governors’ Mansion State Historic Site from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., June 29. The day’s events are free to the public. Merchandise and food will be available for purchase on site.
A variety of activities, inside the mansion and out, will celebrate Wyoming’s statehood including traditional games such as croquet and sack and potato races. Those in attendance will have an opportunity to interact with historic characters and participate in a state scavenger hunt. New this year will be food for sale and Wyoming merchandise vendors.
Self-guided tours of the mansion will be available, as well as an opportunity to learn to crochet and make a Wyoming pennant.
