Guernsey State Park, in partnership with the Tri-City Parks and Recreation District, will host a variety of events July 15-20 as part of Kids Trail Days in Guernsey.
The week will feature several events at Guernsey State Park with a variety of activities that should provide something that interests everyone.
On July 15, a kids’ bike ride for grades K-12, will begin at 9 a.m. starting from the Guernsey/Sunrise High School and riding through the Town.
On July 16, a kids hiking event will take place at Guernsey State Park for grades K-12, participants will meet at the Guernsey/Sunrise High School at 9 a.m. This event reflects the Division of State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails recent focus on enhancing recreational opportunities and boosting the parks system's economic impact by developing non-motorized trails systems within state parks.
On July 18, will be a kids sand soccer play day will be held at Guernsey State Park for grades K-12, participants will meet at Guernsey/Sunrise High School at 9 a.m.
And finally, on July 19, a kids Frisbee golf day will be held at Guernsey State Park for grades 9-12, participants will meet at Guernsey/Sunrise High School at 9 a.m.
Transportation to the park and snacks will be provided for all activities.
For the adults (ages 16 and older) a sand volleyball tournament will be held July 20, at Sandy Beach in Guernsey State Park. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. Following the two-person team double elimination tournament, families are invited to stay and enjoy smores and a movie in the Park.
