Guernsey State Park hosts Wildflower Moonwalk Saturday

Join local botanist Jill Welborn on a Wildflower Moonwalk at 7 p.m., on Saturday, July 12 at Guernsey State Park.

The walk will be a short 1.5 - 2 mike hike beginning at the "Castle" that will take participants through beautiful grasslands and pine forest sections of the park. Hikers will stop to identify and discuss native plants and the natural history of the areas along the trail.

The program is suitable for families and wildflower lovers of all ages. Please dress for the weather, wear shoes suitable for hiking rocky ground, and bring water bottles and other essential items. The program will last approximately 90 minutes.
