Darin Westby, engineering manager for the Wyoming Division of State Parks, Historic
Sites and Trails, has been named field support chief, replacing Joe Bonds, who recently entered retirement.
Westby will oversee the vital areas of concession and revenue management, planning, grants and construction within the division.
"I am proud to be filling the shoes of a great long-term state employee and a good friend,” Westby said. “We have a great agency and I am excited to have the opportunity to use my experience and training toward making our State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails the best in the country."
“Darin brings years of experience and leadership within the field support section to his new position”, Division Administrator Domenic Bravo said. “He is constantly looking for efficiencies in government while finding new ways to serve our customers. We are excited to have him apply his talents to his new role as Chief of Field Support.”
Westby is also active in the Cheyenne community and was recently named the new general chairman of Cheyenne Frontier Days.
He will begin his new duties immediately.
