While hiking is a favorite past time for many during the summer, the fall season provides a little different perspective to the activity.
The emergence of fall color to the leaves on trees, nature’s changes to wildlife as they prepare for cooler temperatures are just a few differences that can be seen this time of year.
Persons who haven’t participated in a fall hike can get an opportunity this Saturday with a guided hike, suitable for all ages, at the Glendo State Park beginning at 1 p.m. at the Two Moon Shelter.
Participants are urged to wear good sturdy shoes and layered clothing in anticipation of various types of weather.
Hikers are also encouraged to bring water and trail snacks.
Persons with questions are asked to call park headquarters at 307-735-4433.
