Overlooks - GUERNSEY

About:

Guernsey State Park was designed and constructed to take advantage of the the beautiful and scenic vistas of the area. The entire park has picture worthy panoramas but there are historical Civilian Conservation Corps structures and features that were specifically constructed to provide spectacular observation points of the canyons and river of the the park.

The Castle, the Museum, Brimmer Point Overlook and miles of hiking trails were all built to provide a striking vantage point of this special area. Lake Side Drive, with it many pull-off areas, runs along the entire eastern shoreline of the reservoir and provides spectacular views of the lake and the canyon.

  • The entire park provides scenic vista opportunities from the Castle and other special features on the west side of the lake to the Museum and the scenic drive along the eastern shoreline of the reservoir on Lake Side Drive.
