Swimming - GUERNSEY

Guernsey State Park is beautifully situated around Guernsey Reservoir. Guernsey State Park has long been an attraction to boaters, water skiers and swimmers. Its miles of shoreline provide public access to the reservoir which is suitable for all types of water-based recreation activities.

The entire reservoir is open to swimming activities. Actual “beaches” are located at the Parks’ Sandy Beach, Sandy Point and Sandy Cove Campgrounds.

Swimming activities are available as water levels allow, generally April through September are suitable for swimming. Daylight hours provide the safest time for swimming activities.

All vehicles entering Guernsey State Park are required to have the appropriate SPHS&T daily use permits.
