Fishing - KEYHOLE


Keyhole Reservoir has over 14,000 acres for your fishing pleasure. There are a total of 5 boat ramps to launch your boat from. Fishing from shore is also a great way to spend some quality family time. There is a large variety of fish, from the smaller crappie and perch, to the larger fish such as small mouth bass, walleye and the really large northern pike. We also have drum and catfish in the lake.

More informatin:

  • Fishing licenses can be obtained at the Keyhole Marina, or the Empire Guest House and Paradise Grocery Store in Pine Haven.
  • Fishermen must also have a conservation stamp.



Keyhole reservoir is located 6 miles north of interstate I-90, off of exit 165, in the northeast corner of Wyoming.

We have year-round fishing.
  • Day-use fees must be paid prior to entering the park.

Site Status


Keyhole State Park is experiencing some minor flooding.

Recreation at Keyhole State Park is expected to remain close to normal despite current high water levels that have affected the Wind Creek and Pat’s Point campgrounds.

  • Our site is up and running year-round.
  • Our fee booths are open May thru October. When the booths are closed please use the fee canisters located at each entrance to pay fees.
  • Our office hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday.
