Wildlife Viewing - WYOMING TERRITORIAL PRISON

About:

The most notable natural resources feature are the wetlands which covers 1/3 of the Historic Site. These wetlands provide valuable habitat for many aquatic and terrestrial species. The site also contains portions of the Big Laramie River and upland prairie. A large variety of birds, insects and animals can be viewed during the year.

More information:

  • The diverse natural landscape of wetlands and prairie uplands habitats makes Wyoming Territorial Prison a significant birding destination with more than 30 species of birds sighted.
