FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The third annual Magpul Governors Match will be held August 2-4 in Cody, Wyoming.  The Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Office along with match director Strategic Match Design (SMD) will bring the nationally recognized “multi-gun” competition and spectator event to Cody, WY.

“We have a strong firearms tradition in this country,” said Governor Matt Mead. “In Wyoming we celebrate firearms, hunting and shooting sports culture. This event allows us to highlight that heritage and watch elite level competition.”

The 2019 match will feature United Multi-Gun rules - allowing shooters to compete in traditional “3-gun”, “2-gun” or pistol caliber carbine divisions.  This year’s competition features a new partnership with the Cody Firearms Museum, which will align a historic firearms competition with the Magpul Governors Match.

“We are proud to once again be the title sponsor for the 2019 Magpul Wyoming Governor’s Match in August. We are a strong supporter of Wyoming and the freedoms and lifestyle that the state represents, and Wyoming has become an incredible home for our manufacturing and distribution operations. Strategic Match Design did a fantastic job with the match last year, and we are looking forward to an even better match this year in the new Cody location,” said Scott Creed, Director of Marketing for Magpul Industries Corp.

Domenic Bravo, Administrator of the Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Office said, “This event will be great for shooters, spectators and their families. We are going to make sure this is a fun, festival atmosphere for everyone involved”.

The Governors Match will take place August 2-4, 2019, at the Cody Shooting Complex in Cody, Wyoming. Registration for the match is now open. For more information go to: https://strategicmatchdesign.com/
