Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site Hosts “Mysterious World of Mushrooms and How They Grow” Program

Enjoy a unique opportunity to learn about mushrooms and the important role they play in the local habitat during the Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site “Mysterious world of Mushrooms and how they grow” activity June 22 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The program, open to ages six and older, focuses on mushrooms in the area and concludes with an opportunity to paint a mushroom rock to take home.

Site Status

 

Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site is open year-round with well-maintained access to the park no matter the conditions.

Visitor Center is closed seasonally from October 31 through April 30. Call ahead prior to your visit to arrange to have the center unlocked.

  • The park is open daily from 6:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
  • Park Headquarters Hours M-F: 7:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
