Wildlife Viewing - BEAR RIVER

About:

There are great opportunities to view wildlife throughout Bear River State Park.  Some common species you may encounter are moose, elk, pronghorn antelope, Canada geese, sandhill cranes, bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, great-horned owls, Uinta ground squirrels, cottontail rabbits, jackrabbits, neotropical migratory birds & more.  Also, don’t forget our captive elk & bison herd!

Hours

 

Park Hours:

  • May 1 - September 30: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., daily
  • October 1 - April 30: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.,daily; Closed on all State observed holidays.

Visitor Center Hours:

  • May 1 - September 30: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily
  • October 1 - April 30: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed 1-2 p.m. for lunch; Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
