About:

There are great opportunities to view wildlife throughout Bear River State Park.  Some common species you may encounter are moose, elk, pronghorn antelope, Canada geese, sandhill cranes, bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, great-horned owls, Uinta ground squirrels, cottontail rabbits, jackrabbits, neotropical migratory birds & more.  Also, don’t forget our captive elk & bison herds!

Winter sports such as sledding the Buffalo Run sledding hill at the Visitor Center, cross-country skiing & snowshoeing in the Park are available as snow conditions allow.

Captive herds of bison and elk, resident moose, mule deer and pronghorn antelope frequent the Park as well as numerous bird species such as Canada geese, sandhill cranes, bald eagles, neotropical migratory bird species and waterfowl.
